As some of you know I adopted the lovely George from Suzanne at Small Paws so now I have 2 pairs;
George (10 months neutered boar) and Cherub (4 months sow)
Gizmo (3-5 years sow) and Pip (12 months sow)
Both pairs are well bonded, particularly George and Cherub (she adores him and follows him everywhere). They live in the same room so can hear/smell each other and are allowed in pens next door to each other when having floor time.
I get a lot of rumblestrutting from George, but the other pair of girls seem to mostly chatter and rumble at him through the panels but are definitely interested in him, they run up and down along the panel, have a vid which I will try and upload later for you to see.
I'm wondering if I'm best waiting until George is fully mature until I try to let them be together without any panels between them? As he might stand more chance of being the dominant in the group. If so, how old would he be to be considered "mature".
If they have to be two pairs then that is fine, as I have the space to keep the 2 pairs (each pair has a Trixie 150 cage). Just thought it would be nice to have a small herd.
