can you convert furniture into a guinea pig hutch?
I have an old chest of draws that don't get used any longer and to make a bigger cage I was just wondering if I could turn it into a guinea pig cage
if so than should I put varnish on the bottom to keep it waterproof?

You can certainly convert furniture like tables,book shelves and drawers into cages! Yes it would certainly need to be made waterproof and I believe there is a certain type of wood- pine I think- that is poisonous to piggies if chewed. Not 100% on that though.

As long as the furniture is large enough to make a large one level cage. (at least 2x4 ft or 8 sq.ft. is recommended)
