Fur turning white

Hi everyone, so for the past two weeks my friends guinea pig has been acting more lethargic, she’s about 3 years old and normally quite active. However recently she hasn’t been squeaking or running around she doesn’t seem to be eating as much. One other thing my friend noticed is her hair seems to be turning white. She’s taking her to the vets soon but wanted some advice.

Any pig who becomes lethargic and eats less needs to see a vet as soon as possible.

The hair discolouration is not connected. Some piggies can have more specific changes in colour or markings throughout their lives on to top of the normal lightening up as the baby hair grows out and general dulling of colour throughout adulthood.
