Hiya, I don’t usually see these parts of Bruno’s legs because he’s so chunky and they’re his front legs. Only managed to get a photo of one because he’s a wriggler - is it normal for this area to be pink instead of fur being there? Had to even have my mum hold him because he wouldn’t stay still for me :)

My two don't have fur on the inside of their front legs either. I'm pretty sure it's because they rub their legs over their body when they clean themselves so it naturally wears away the fur :)

thank you! I’m curious to see ozzys now but he’s also a wriggler, with how much he cleans he’s probably the same

I believe it may also be another of their cooling mechanisms - they can lick the area to help cool themselves in very hot weather.
But i may be imaging it, so please don't quote me on it!

Hi!

This is normal mechanical abrasion from all the piggy washes several times a day. ;)
Guinea pig body quirks - What is normal and what not?
