My piggy, Oreo, is having a weird fur issue. Her fur on her back feels strange. You know when you go swimming and your hair dries, it has that crunchy, crispy feeling? That is how the fur feels on her back. She is spayed and lives with her neutered husboar, Cocoa. Should I give her a bath? Or is this a vet issue? She isn't loosing any fur, it just feels strange that's all.

I may have a theory on what is going on. I'm pretty sure Cocoa is having this issue too; if I could catch him. The hay that they are using right now is rather dusty. They have been peeing on the dusty bits and laying on them. I think that is why Oreo has the strange fur issue. I think I will skip the bath as they can groom this off of them. Plus, I still have some of this hay left. I had to buy it during the winter and this company only harvests it once a year in the spring so it is old by now.
