Yesterday, I noticed this funny patch on Thea's nose. She is booked in with Rachel (vet) on Monday at 1.15 as this is the earliest time that I could get. Anybody have any ideas? It wasn't there last week. Annoyingly I didn't notice it when I took Lexi to the vet on Wednesday and Thea went along too as a pawholder.

Hopefully it’s nothing major. If it’s ringworm fingers crossed you’ve caught it quickly. She is in very good hands 😍

Bless her. Hope it’s nothing too contagious. Maybe the stress of moving homes has lowered her immunity. Good luck at the vets.

Could it be a Fungal nose stripe that might have increased with the damp weather?

Meg had a fungal stripe that cleared up, but it didn't look like that. It could be though.

It looks like a touch of fungal to me? See what happens over the coming days.
There are much milder forms other than ringworm.

It looks like it could be fungal nose stripe... it's a common place for that. Leela has fungal nose stripe on and off (oddly right now it looks really good, normally it's worse in colder, dryer weather.) Hope this helps a bit!

I agree it looks like it could be the start of a small minor fungal thing... maybe the vet will prescribe topical surolan, that's a good targeted prescription antifungal safe to use on the face.
But equally importantly... what an utterly gorgeous noseynose! :)

Thea and I have just come back from seeing Aunty Rachel (Lexi went too as pawholder). First thing Rachel did was check Thea's nose for ringworm, she's 90% certain its not ringworm. She then thought about a fungal nose stripe, but it's not that either, she had a gentle scratch at it to try and figure out what it was and looked at it through a magnifying glass. She said it almost looks "wart like" but that's very rare in guinea pigs. It didn't bleed, it's not wet or sore or flaky. It's also not dried on food. Rachel wasn't really sure what it was (I have a medical mystery guinea pig!). She told me to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse to go back. Even better was that I wasn't charged for today's visit.:)

Hopefully whatever it is will stop in its tracks and clear off!

They can just get little funny skin things. Doesn’t stop us worrying, though!
