my guineas make this wierd noise its like i clicking when they r getting held it sort of sounds like a cross between a tut and the k sound we make leaning more towards the tut sound. any1 know why this is

is it teeth chattering? tht means they are scared.if lits like a hihihihhmmmmm (lol) kind of noise when beeing stroked they are purring.sorry i cant be more descriptive

If you have a look on this website http://www.jackiesguineapiggies.com/guineapigsounds.html and go to the one that says teeth chattering, listen to the clip and if it sounds like that, it is probably chattering.

Does your guinea pig share a cage with another?
Sometimes they chatter at each other if they are annoyed.

My guinea pig Gus does it. It's not the same as teeth chattering at all. I know because he does that at Howard all the time! It isn't fast or loud, and does sound like a "kuh". I don't think it is an agreesive noise at all. Gus will happily accept a chin tickle.

hi the noise isnt teeth chaterring it is like a gutteral sound from the bck of the throat

Yes, mine make this weird quack clucky noise but I have never found it on any websites that have guinea pig sounds.

yup, they kind of sound like chickenducks : weird noise. but I doubt they are ill. gus has been doing it since the day we took him in, and that was in feb.
