Funny & Fun New Tactic..

So I'm still working with Martini to trust me and be relaxed & tonight I tried something that was hilarious. I went to the site everyone loves here with the guinea pig noises & kept playing the purring sound over and over again. She immediately calmed down & started eating on my lap...have to say that was pretty hilarious! I've never tried it before & when I played the "wheeking" sound, she started wheeking back loudly. I'm sure it confused her a little but when she kept hearing the purring, she just calmed right down & began to eat.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's done this...share your experiences!

Which site has the sounds?

I've played a bubbling sound for my guineas in the past and they come right over to me, but I stopped as I wasn't sure if it was frustrating him or not. He might be confused as to why the pattern never changes because it's the same few second clip over and over again?

She lives alone right now, but after this display tonight with the excitement she got, I'm thinking maybe I should get her a cage mate.

You wouldnt believe the difference it can make to a piggies behaviour for them not to be alone Half the fun of having my two is seeing them interact with eachother and have a chat, you just dont get that with one piggie

Plus, ofcourse it will please her aswell!

I know it's a joy to have two..before Martini I had two, it's hard for me to just have the one. The only reason I do is because I got her after losing my first one & quickly lost the other, I'm pretty sure because she was just broken hearted. But I got Martini, went through all that hell & ended up with one guinea pig. I lost Machete not too long ago (and as I said, lost Chipotle not long before that) so I'm still kind of getting over it. I want to get another though & I will, especially after seeing her get excited. It all just happened so suddenly that I needed a break.
