Hi everyone,

Jessie had a vet trip today as she has been biting her bum, its been bleeding and looks very sore :(

Vets have checked her for mites and everything else but there is no sign of them.

Vets have prescribed Fuciderm Gel to be placed on the wound twice a day. I do trust my vet but have noticed this medication is prescribed for dogs not guineas/small rodents so wanted a second opinion on here before using it?

As my vet rather amusingly put it the other day

'You can use x it's fine, although there hasn't been any clinical tests on guineas, we know it's safe. Well ok actually everything is tested on guineas, but not in the same way!'

Young work experience person looked suitably horrified...have to say I laughed...

Fuciderm is great stuff, we had it for my aunt's rabbit, cleared her cut up a treat once we got her to stop trying to lick it off!
