I’m wondering what to do with the frozen bottle I’ve got? It’s a plastic sports bottle that I’ve frozen over night but how do you put it in the cage? Do you wrap it in something? Or just put it in as it is? What if they chew it? I was watching a video the other day and someone put an old tea towel around it and tied it with hair bobbles either end, surely if they chew it it can’t be safe? Any pics and advice would be fab! Thank you

I just wrap them in a hand towel/tea towel and lay it on the join - I don't bother trying to secure it at each end.

You'll need to have a few in the freezer so that you can change them

Here are mine. Just put them in. Holly is popcorning at present but will claim the first one by lying along side it any moment.

Do you take them out if you go out or are they safe to leave in there

I use the sock method too and leave them in all the time. It’s hot when I’m at work, so they need them. However, I have no evidence that they go within 6inches of my lovingly prepared sock-bottles.

I used to wrap mine in tea towels like VickiA's are above. But, I've now swapped to socks. One of my past pigs, Anselmo managed to unravel the bottle from the tea towel and then roll himself up in it next to the bottle. He was like a little ice cube when I came home from work. I still have no idea how he did it

I just put mine in as they are, as they defrost, Luna and Stanley lick the cold condensation off the side. ;)
