Hi all -

As some of you may know, we re-homed our gorgeous Bill as he and his brother Eric simply would simply not stop fighting.

Happy ending, however, as we've now got Eric two girlfriends and he's much happier. I've never seen so much popcorning!

My question is why he's popcorning when he is. He tends to try to show his affections to one of the girls and they tell him "no" in no uncertain terms. He then popcorns across the cage (and generally tries his affections on the other sister)!

I this a love-dance? I she still trying to convince them they're not making the right decision?

I wonder the same thing. Both of my dominant boars do this.

They will rumble to their 'lover' and then when the other tells them off he runs off popcorning and returns a few minutes later and tries again.

It's strange to me that its when he's told no he popcorns off. :))

Haha yep sounds exactly like my Peter too hehe :))

Hehehe. Well at least it's not just mine!

My guys do this to each other! They do their little rumbly dance then one of them will scoot off pop corning like crazy.

I think the only time Peter hasn't done it is when Bumble let him "have a go" it was brief as he decided he then wanted her face :x and she wasn't so happy with that and off he popcorned

My little one Randy also does this lol, with both of them chattering there teeth occasionally to, confusing :))
Randy was named randy cos he's such a so and so, my 2yr old boar rocky wants a quiet life now lol, but 6 month old boar has other ideas.
Although still go tearing round the front room like lunes together.x)

Yep we have 3 happily popcorning boys in our house.

Lots of rumbles and strutting around and dragging their balls on teh floor before one or other gor wheeking and boucing off round the room.

Hamish is so unco-ordinated he usually looks like he's haiving some mad fit..!

Terfel does the same thing... Goes off and rumble-popcorns to himself! :(|)

I've read that boars will try to woo every 7 minutes or so. I guess just to see if They've got a snowball's chance in hell of impressing the ladies?!
