while my other half is in bed, i'm letting the three girls roam around the living room. It's so cute! I love my girlies they're soooo funny :) I might get some piccies later xx

I would love to let mine wander but I could just imagine the state of the carpet :(

i let mine free range when i clean them out, one of my girls loves to eat the carpet i have 2 holes, 1 in the living room carpet (OH hasnt noticed yet!) and one in their room, now covered up. why eat carpet?

Luckily all my floor was wooden - though when Lentil has a roam he just spends the whole time bitting the bars on Jake and Hectors cage :/

My room's just been decorated with new carpet and my mum told me strictly 'no guinea pigs running around' but what she doesn't know doesn't hurt her rolleyes
I've bought a stain and odour spray specially for the carpet :))

We have a thickish red carpet in our living room. I can just imagine it with white splodges if I let them loose. Might look like polka dots :))

I used to let my girls have free range of the livingroom........but then I got Toby! And they don't live together yet, but they do have floortime together.....and little Toby likes to chew cables, so unfortunately they get put into run now. But the one I've got the girls have worked out how they can escape from it, so I've had to ask Santa for one of the ELC pool pits.

my OH doesnt like it either so i let them out when he isnt about :)) they like the living room and hall but wont go in the kitchen mallethead

Ooh that's good.

My girls and Johnny kind of live free range, their C & C is always open and we have plastic tablecloth on the floor and fleece, vet bed and inco pads under tables where they sleep. We have C & C grids blocking off all dangerouis wires etc. So wwe basically live in one big C & C cage. Just wish we could do the same for Buzz and Woody but they have a 3x3 with hayloft to share and get floortime in the hall.

My five girls are free range in the conservatory, it's all theirs. But we leave the door open to the living room and they will not cross the threshold. They just won't. I thought about trying to train them to so that they can run round the living room as well, but we now have a really nice rug in there so I shan't. But the door stays open all day long - maybe one day I'll come home to find an enterprising piggy train trying to find the fridge!

Ours are supposed to stay in the living room, but recently we have caught the little ones taking a wander up the hall to look for Buzz and Woody :(|) They can't get to them though as there are grids across the bedroom door.

My Husaband said no Guinea Pigs full stop, so i came home with 4. Then he said they were not allowed in the house, 3 weeks later they were all living in the living room in new indoor cages, now they run around in the bedroom because 2 of them have moved up there in the c & c cage, one of them chewed through his mobile phone charger wire. :))

Whenever we're in the house the c&c's door is left open, though to be honest ours don't venture out all that much. We have laminate flooring and I think it puts them off, though we do have throws down on the floor for them. I think it just depends on their mood, sometimes they'll wander round for ages, other times they don't come out. Funny thing is if we don't open the door they stand their staring out as if to say "open the door" regardless of whether they come out or not!

Lol I like your style-c

My hubby said that too! I now have 5 in the housedrool

I love hearing the pitter-patter of little feet onthe living room floor :)

Of my lot, I'd say Pixel and Boris are the most adventurous, Pippa likes to stick to what she knows and Willow usually just claims one of the hidey houses as her own. That said, it was Willow who first discovered the kitchen! :(|)

My piggies get to come out in the evenings for floor time in the lounge and I just put down 2 x picnic rugs that are plastic underneath and very quick to manage! It's great as it stops my wood floor from getting wet and stained and I can just brush off the poos and roll them back up afterwards. For wires, we just use things in the lounge to block off certain areas but funnily enough, the piggies won't venture off the pink rugs. They will stretch their little necks as far as poss to nosey at what else is in the room but it's like there is an invisible barrier between the rug and the floor! It's so funny! lol.
I love watching them pop when they come out. The rest of the time they have a 3 tier very large house with sliding perspex front so I can always see them. The bottom pulls out like a drawer so they can jump up to the next level if they dont fancy taking the stairs and they love to sit with their heads pushed up against the perpex when the heater is on for them. :))

:)) You sound just like me! My dad was all "No pigs on the carpets! No!" I just wait until he's asleep! I often have one running around the bedroom floor when I'm getting changed after work or watching a DVD in my room or something. I also bought some stain remover spray and odour spray :(|) How will anyone ever know what we've been up to?

hehehehehe! I do it when I'm home alone or if mum's asleep on the sofa downstairs.. she has walked in before when Terry's been running around but thankfully he was behind Doris' cage :)) I ordered the ELC ball pit yesterday though so they can come out for longer rolleyes

My hubby works away every week, so every Sunday night the living room furniture is moved around and a 3 x 6 run set up on a plastic table cloth with towels and fleece, most nights the run is open for them to come out. Friday morning is spent putting them back upstairs, quick hoover and furniture back and he's no idea hee hee :)):)):)):))
