Here’s an easy way to get free food from carrot tops. When peeling your carrots save the carrot tops. Place them flat side down in a little bit of water. After a few days the tops will sprout green shoots. Over the next few days they will grow. You will have lovely fresh leaves for your piggies - Just keep a check on the water and you can soon cut some fresh carrot tops ! All for nothing -

I'm gonna try that! Anything for free is good atm especially with the price of everything skyrocketing! Might take a while to get enough for the piggies though as it's just me and the OH until we collect Son No 3 from Uni.

Just be aware that carrot tops are pretty high in calcium and should be treated as a herb and not as green forage.
