So dear Freddy has woken up with a reddish area along the lower edge of his left eye
It wasn’t there last night
I’ve bathed it and gently looked at it and there is nothing in it - it was a tiny bit crusty
He shuts it when I try to look too much
We will go to the Vets tomorro but has anyone some advice as to what to do in the meantime ?
He’s eating and drinking as usual

Poor Freddy. I hope it’s something easily fixed 🤞🏻. Sending healing vibes.

Freddy’s eye is looking better this am - I’m bathing it with tepid boiled water - we’re still off to the Vet at 17.00
He also let me put his back feet into some Epsom salts for 5 mins 🤭I know I’ve never been able to before - he was a bit ‘frozen’ and didn’t eat his treat but I was very impressed 🥰 I did it all before his pellet breakfast and when I put him back he ran off to find Geoff
He wolfed down his pellets so hopefully we can keep doing this 2x daily
Thank you everyone for your advice and support - I’ll let you know how we get on

So the Vet checked Freddy very thoroughly with a dye and a little local anaesthetic and pulled the lid down and up and couldn’t find anything wrong thankfully - she agreed the skin around the eye looked a deeper pink and said it could be conjunctivitis so Freddy has eye drops for 5 days and I’m to continue the eye bathing
She said I should keep going with the Epsom salt bath and expects that with the F10 to make a difference
Freddy was the centre of attention as the Vet nurses hadn’t seen a skinny pig before

Not eye drops it’s eye gel

Freddy’s eye is fine now but I’ll continue the gel til the 5 days are up
I thought I’d have another try at soaking Freddy’s feet - he’s never stayed still long enough to do it before as he is very wriggly but he’s very accepting of it now and his feet are looking much improved - a dark pink not red after just 4 days ( 2x daily)
So hopefully if I carry on they will get get sorted - thank you everyone for your help and advice 🥰
