So I’m seriously considering adding a four seasons room onto my house for the guinea pigs! We have a concrete deck in the back that we never use and I’m looking into how much it would cost. It would be hooked up to our central heat and air so it would be temperature controlled. I would be in heaven relaxing in there playing with my piggies! The kids would get the old piggy room as a toy room (the toys are everywhere), so really it’s a win for everyone. This is just a fantasy in my head right now until I figure out how much it will cost. Here are some before and after pictures I found online of what I would be doing.2D900968-2009-4FC4-993A-58E0A43EB7DB.webpED54670A-431E-4798-8DBA-AB622CC6958C.webp831E9250-465F-4355-8437-0D0BBB9CB112.webp

A lot depends where you are.
We have a house in Yorkshire but live in Marlborough for work.
The cost of our Yorkshire house might just about get you a rabbit hutch here!
Lol thats true to be fair. Wellingborough and corby near me are very cheap to live. But grange park area is sooo expensive for a similar size house

I just have to walk 5 mins and the house prices are much cheaper than on my estate. Anyway enough hijacking of this thread now.

:btt: That looks lovely @HeatherRose hope your OH approves and it's not too expensive.

I like the look of the u.s but not when it comes to healthcare and no benefit system. Its scary. To me your house is probably the start of upper class here
Yeah the health insurance situation is ridiculous, I would much rather have it the way you do.

Yeah it’s the same way here, you pretty much pay more for the same house for the privilege to say you live in a certain city or neighborhood

Here’s the deck from the outside. It would be a pretty big room! I’m getting way too excited about this before even pricing it. I’m picturing bigger piggy cages and a nice lounge area for me where I can sit and watch the deer that come through every day. Basically it will be like a nice retreat room for me. I can dream, but in reality eventually it would be full of kids toys like all the other rooms in the house!B9FB1005-8792-466E-918D-8DBD79A34E6D.webp

unless you live in the “Golden Triangle” Harrogate - York - North Leeds area, they are very pricey compared to the rest of Yorkshire.
