Found yet more lumps on Jasper ☹️

Just need a bit of a rant, very gutted and worrying a lot more than I was now. :doh:

On the 22nd November we saw Kim at C&R and she diagnosed my boy with a sebaceous cyst and nothing to worry about. Also that he was older than we originally thought, at 4+ rather than 3 that I was told by his original owner.
I found another last week pretty much identical and although we were at the vets with Cleo yesterday as I couldn’t get a double appt (heart murmur sounding good and still needs no meds, so some good news!) Kim didn’t seem keen to check on him without his own appointment (I mentioned it!) so I made him one for 11th Feb.
He’s been a bit impacted this week so there’s been lots of handling because I’ve been cleaning him and obviously checking his lumps. And he’s my cuddler so I’ve always got my hands all over him anyway!
At 10pm got him out for a checkover (as he’d been a bit impacted this morning and needed a quick sort out) and found two more lumps which have definitely not been there long.
One sort of under the second lump, near his armpit. And another pea/petit pois sized lump by his grease gland :(:eek:

So yup, worried something more serious going on now. His weight’s great, around 1160g which is fab for him especially as he has a no pellet diet and is a small boy. Really hope he’s not going to be doing a Rosie the cat and suddenly being diagnosed with the terminal c word, don’t think my heart can take it 🙈:(

The love is for his gorgeous pose in that picture, wish I could do a sad for the rest of your news. Massive hugs being sent to you. I know saying try not to worry is useless but I'll say it anyway. Try not to worry until you know what you are dealing with, try not to let your imagination run wild.

I'm sorry he's giving you a big worry right now. He's a lucky boy to have you being so attentive and finding problems sooner than later. I'm glad you have an appointment for him. Keep sharing whenever you need. Hugs.
 
I'm very sorry! I hope he just has a tendency to form sebaceous cyst, but my first thoughts are going in the direction yours are probably going too. All fingers and paws crossed that it's something harmless. 🍀
 
So sorry to hear this, Jasper is such a gorgeous fuzzy boy!
I hope his appointment doesn’t come back with anything to sinister!
 
Maybe the vets will have a cancellation and you can get Jasper in sooner. 🤞. He’s a beauty. Hope it’s just cysts or fatty lumps. ❤️

Will definitely be getting him an appt early this week, but finally having this leak dealt with on Monday so I won’t know what this week holds yet to know when I can squeeze him in! ASAP though, and hoping for good news!

:hug: Try not too worry too much. Our Ginger pig has about 6 small lumps on his tummy. All of them are just fatty lumps. Hopefully this is all that Jasper's are too.

Thanks Yvonne, yes I’ve been trying to tell myself he’s the same as lovely Ginger! Hard not to panic when I found those last night but really hoping all harmless🤞🤞

We've got two piggies, who both keep getting sebaceous cysts. They initially came to TEAS due to Jorge having a very nasty, ulcerated cyst, that the previous vet has misdiagnosed as cancer and had failed to treat. Jorge had surgery to remove this cyst, but since then, both he and his little mate, Jacob, have had many other cysts. In fact they were both at the vet, just a few days ago, with more cysts. The cysts are easily sorted, but rather annoying! Both piggies happy and healthy! xx

Poor Jorge, glad he got rid of that nasty one but sorry him and Jacob are causing trouble with their lumps! So pleased all harmless though, hopefully my boy is the same and just a bit prone then 🤞
I don’t seem to have had many lumpy beasties but if I have it’s been horrible abscesses or the c word so think I’m just a bit paranoid because of past experiences! 🙈 Hopefully he’ll be fine! Thanks Debbie xx
 
Please do try not to worry. He’s still happy as he is (and utterly gorgeous in that photo btw), doing everything a little piggy should be doing and living his best life. This could just be a few more little fatty lumps. Hugs x
 
I’m sorry to hear there is a second coming of lumps. Hopefully the appointment will not throw up any worries.

Thanks guys :hug:I shouldn’t panic but it’s hard when they all seem to be popping up in quick succession! Will try and be hopeful it’s nothing worrying and he carries on being a happy boy for a good few years yet, me and Cleo need our fuzzy man love! ❤️❤️
 
Well Jasper’s bum lump is nothing to worry about by the looks of it, we had fun on Saturday night with it instead!
When I got him out for floortime at 7pm I could feel something, he’d managed to scratch it! So as I looked and cleaned a nice big splodge of thick grey cyst gunk (well paste!) came out! 🤢:)) So after a couple of days of cleaning it it’s looking great, think it was just like a spot really and was obviously ready to pop! :)
He has had lots of bribery though, blooming despises his back end touched, mean mummy!
Still got our appt on Friday at C&R but I’m nowhere near as worried as I was! Can barely see a thing now! :D:love:
Think he’s getting a bath when it warms up though!

Sorry I’m not on much at the moment, my brain and meds are trying to kill me! You really shouldn’t take high doses of epilepsy meds when you’ve had nearly two weeks without! (My pharmacy messed up again! 🙄)
 
I’m so glad Jasper is doing ok. He’s a beauty 😍. These pharmacists should be more careful with people’s medications. That’s shocking 😡. I hope your brain settles down soon and your meds kick in.

Thanks so much guys :) Yes as soon as I put him with Cleo in the hallway after it first happened he popcorned and rumbled around for a good hour, definitely felt better bless him! :wub::))

My pharmacy is useless @Claire W! My mum went to pick them up late as took so long, and they still didn’t have them! So owed me 112 of one and 224 of another, and they’d had my prescription 3 weeks by then! Thank god my friend and mum helped me getting them as i was already having more seizures :blink: Sure I’ll feel better soon! x
 
The pharmacy kept getting my meds messed up too. I've been with pharmacy2you now for a year, they are brilliant, arrive before time and I don't have to queue in a shop! It's just a click of a button when they send you a prompt message.

Ooh maybe I need to look into something like that, it’s happening so much now but that was definitely the worst they’ve been! Glad yours are getting to you now!
 
I’m so glad that the gorgeous Jasper is feeling better after that cyst burst.
