Yesterday I had all my hair cut off as I was sick and tired of the beast that was living on my head! So, I've gone from having hair that was half way down my back to it being jaw length so it's easier to manage. Anyway, I was looking in the mirror, like you do, checking out my new 'do' and there it was, winking at me quite brightly ;D

Thankfully I'm booked in in a few weeks to go blonde so the little devil will be covered ;)

i'm not even 30 yet :( when did anyone else find their first? Please don't let me the only under 30 silver fox on here ;D ;D

I haven't found any yet but my friend has had one since she was 12 and her brother has had one since he was like 11 and they are in the same place on both thier heads 98)

I was about 20 when I first found grey a couple of strands in the front,I am now 38 and still only have these couple of strands of grey

LMAO
I wouldn't worry too much with only 1.

PS. there's loads of stuff advertised to cover them if it gets too bad!

<<runs off thread and hides>>

I really don't want to go grey now, can't help but feeling it's gonna be a slippery slope from now on. I bet I'll be one of those 70 year olds that still has perfectly coloured hair as I don't want to admit that I'm badgeresque! Suppose I'm lucky that my mum is 60 his year and she hasn't got many, but my dad on the other hand...........

I had my first grey hair at 16/17ish But that's because I dye my hair so often.

I'm sure you'll be fine to be honest I've had the odd one since I was about 30 now I'm 37 and still just get the odd one.
My hairs always died though so I suppose I could be white underneath.

Hey, thanks for all the support, not at all said in a sarcastic manner ;D

I too dye my hair all the time and have just let my last colour grow out so I could actually see what colour I am naturally! Big mistake as I now know that definatelt getting old :)

I have gone 1/4 grey, i have left it and left it with the opinion i would go grey gracefully, but now my hair is getting longer i am putting it up and it showing up more, so today i died it chestnut brown,

I feel good , da da dala da la da I knew that a would, so good, so fine a feel great!

just look forward to your dying! ;D

Hey I'm not yet 30 but have had a few grey hairs on & off for years. If you're too bothered by it but don't want to dye your hair get a permanant marker - luckily my hair is dark so I just use black- and run it down the offending hair. My mates think I'm mad, but to be honest I'm starting not to mind so much now. I WILL be one of the grannies with a blue or purple rinse except in the shocking colour range!

I dye my hair so much I dont think they have a chance of showing through ::) And i have my extensions tightened evey couple of weeks so i think memory would pull it out before saying anything... :D

I havent found one yet - BUT - after the year i've had already, I'm expecting a few VERY soon! ;D ;D

found my first one about 32 but after having 5 kids its no wonder, but hey are well hidden now with nice and easy number 16a lol they are only round my ears and a few down the parting area

i'm feeling better knowing that most of you who have replied have some too >:D

Kinda get the feeling I'm overreacting slightly, as it is only 1 grey hair, I'm gonna stop looking now as I don't want to find any more ;D

just like i said there are loads of things out there to hide them!

we are only as young as we feel! or as old as we feel sometimes!

I have been dying my hair for years cannot even remember the natural colour now ;D I do have a few grey hair but I have had a hard life ;D I was well over 30 though before I got a grey hair.

Nat...
To b hoped so at your age

;D The only hair problems i have at the moment is not straighteneing, catching nits or taming my wild flicks. 98)

I didnt get any til my 30's but they are creeping in now - I blame my students ;D

I do get hair colours done but not very often as hard to find cruelty free ones!

Colours are due soon so will have to find someone or go to London to get them done.

I pull them out - so strong those grey/white hairs :o

OOh poor you. I remember when I found my first grey hair. It was the 4th January 2004. Not that it bothered me too much or anything ::) ;D. My friend was actually checking my hair for nits cos her son had them at the time and I'd given him a hug before she told me he had them :o I was more bothered about the grey hair than any nits ;D

Thankfully there's been no more since. I check thoroughly every day :D

I'm not too sure if I'll remember the date ;D

Have made a pact with myself not to check anymore ;D
