I have the wooden huts that are bendable for my boys and they are switched out for other huts every now and then, however recently I've noticed they aren't really using them in favour of other sleeping spots...I had a brain wave to get them interested again :)

I placed a garland of hay stuffed tubes on the back wall and made the huts very slightly curved and placed them infront so they'd have to work out how to get to them, Badger worked out very quickly as he enjoys adventures and climbing on everything! Boris was a bit more hesitant but also discovered that he could still burrow underneath the hut for a cosy safe house - he's been in there at every oppurtunity. Even when I put veg in he took it back underneath the hut!

Just thought I'd share this as it was a bigger hit then I expected and a great way to double up on one item enrichment wise :)

I'm really surprised by how much they like it, I thought it would be a flop but it's been the opposite!

What a wonderful idea! I have the bendy wood thingies too so will definitely give this a try. I always like to make their cage different with each clean-out so this gives me another decorating idea.

there is something else you can do with the bendy wooden bridges. If you have spare fleece you can make a tube big enough for the bridge to fit in one end and when the wooden bridge goes in the end it looks like a dog agility tunnel. I will be doing this for mine in the winter because they loved it and keeps them warm. When dirty you can just take the fleece off and wash it. not a great pic but you get the general idea
