I was at my local craft store and found a type of fabric that's used for making raincoats. It has 2 sides. One is the vinyl waterproof side and the other is kind of like flannel. I put it under my towels flannel side up and it works great for absorbing any urine that get through the towels!
My cage layers are corex, raincoat fabric, towels, fleece. So far the combination is working well.

Just thought I'd share for anyone looking for options. :)

Oh my goodness, yes. Been very busy lately and forgot all about The Guinea Pig Forum. Sorry to leave you guys hanging. :P

Turns out I was wrong about the raincoat part. My mom is a seamstress and filled me in. It's flannel backed rubber or rubber sheeting. The name varies from place to place it seems.

Description from fabric store website:

"Rubber Sheeting ensures ultra-dry surfaces with maximum comfort. Crafted from 100 percent cotton, this sheet has been bonded with rubber to create a nonslip liquid-proof backing. Ideal for bed-wetting problems and incontinence issues for concerned age groups, this sheet absorbs fluid quickly from the surface and protects sensitive skin from moisture and staining. This waterproof sheet is ideal to use on tables, baby crib, mattress and various other surfaces."

If the people at your craft store don't know what it is based off the name maybe you could describe it to them using the above paragraph.

I took some pictures but you can't really tell what you're looking at. You can't see the difference in sides.

Unrelated but I need help where to post a new thread. My sow just passed away and I haven't the slightest clue why. And I have questions now about my boar. Where should I put this? :(
