Forum Downtime

Just to update everyone on the unexpected forum downtime this morning.

The issue was a technical fault with the 'Data Centre' that Krystal Hosting use. It appears to have been sorted now.

I was wondering why I couldn't get on the site, I put it down to a poor signal on my mobile as I was out of the house. Don't forget, we also have the back up site for when the main site is down, don't forget to register if you haven't already done so.

Update to this:

Was due to a fibre amplifier 'blowing' on a suppliers line leading to Telehouse North and LINX

Traffic was rerouted through another independent line which failed at 10:25 AM

Both lines out of the data centre failed, incredibly unlucky and unlikely.


full report should give more information as to why but may be related to recent cable thieves ripping up a large chunk of fibre in London, hoping to get at copper.
