Okay, so I'm not starting this thread to cause a debate or arguments and I fully understand that people do have lives away from the forum but I have noticed that there are quite a few forum buddies who no longer visit the forum or very rarely visit.

I admit that I'm not sure how the forum buddies were selected to begin with and I am not suggesting that they should no longer be buddies but may be we could have some more selected?

As a regular visitor here, I have noticed that they're are a few members in particular who are very committed to answering threads and providing excellent advice even going as far as adding links, phone numbers and other important information if they are unable to answer the questions themselves.

Of course, the moderators and admin do a fantastic job of keeping the forum running but I just feel that some of the members as explained above deserve some recognition for the extra mile they go. I also think it would be good for new members to know who these people are :)

Don't be silly Claire, no question is ever a silly one!

The current forum buddies were approached quite a few years ago and I suspect that like most forums people come and go - although a few of us are still around!:)) I personally had been a member of TGPF for several yeaars before I was approached by the mods to see if I was prepared to be a buddy. Certain criteria was set out by the mods (nothing too onerous) and I was asked if I would consider joining the team.

I know that several buddies very rarely post due to personal/life issues so there are fewer of us about. I wonder whether it would be useful to post a thread with the current active mods and buddies in it so new folk in particular know who they should contact if they have any problems.

Like you so rightly said in your post, we do all have lives outside of the forum, a lot of us work and are involved in rescue/fostering so time is often short! I will drop Debbie a pm to see if she thinks it would be a good idea to organise an up to date list to be made into a sticky.
