Hiya all!
My girls have a wooden log cabin that you can buy in most pet shops in the rabbit size, however I don't think it's big enough. I like it because it has a door and a circular window, which is big enough for them to hop through. They both snuggle up in there but can't spread out like they used to in their old cage.

I'm considering asking my dad if he could make them a bigger one, but I don't know where to source the wood from as it is the sort that still has the bark attached. Does anyone have any ideas? Or, if he has too much on with his steam engines, and doesn't have time would anyone on here be willing to help me make one? Or make it for me, I have no skill whatsoever making things (unless they're knitted). Obviously I would pay for the materials and labour.

Any help sourcing wood, or volunteers would be great!

Thanks

I recently made a couple of basic wooden hides holes for our trio, s what kind of size are you after?

Errm about 35cm D 50cm W and 20cm H. With two doors or a door and a large window type thing so they can get in and out without fighting about it.

If I can find the right wood, I could knock something up for you. My parents have a log burner, so they might have something ideal to use, I shall be seeing them tomorrow :)

Well I popped round today and they have some suitable wood. But I have already made plans to chop a couple of trees down this weekend (weather permitting!) so I'll have enough to have a play with :))
When I have knocked up something suitable I will post some photos on here. I work nights so time is a bit sparse. Hopefully I'll have something by the weekend after :)

Gosh, that's fast! That would be absolutely amazing! If it's cheaper/easier to deliver flatpack type then I can assemble myself if needs be. I'm sure the girls would love you forever haha. I am willing to pay for materials and labour, and have a paypal account too if that's an easier way to do it. I honestly can't thank you enough!

This is the thing they have at the moment, roomy enough for one, but for two growing sows it can be a tight fit!
