I see a lot of memebers ask about fleece, which I use in my c&c. Towels under a fleece top.

But thought you may be interested in something else I found on e-bay

This lady makes these waterproof fleece blankets. So basically it's an all-in-one. Back and front is fleece, in the middle is a absorbant layer, and waterproof layer too.
They are simple to use. And she does the waterproof piggie lap pads too. She has made mine at the measurements I wanted.
I dont use these all over. Just in the heavy toileting areas, they are quick to dry either on the radiator or tumble dryer.
I wash these out everyday and replace them, the other area with towels and fleece I do once a week.
My c&c a bit different now, but these are the best pics I could find with the pads in situ.

The brown paw print fleece type blankets are the ones in these pictures.

Wow your cage is fantastic!

Thank you for that recommendation I might order just before I come back to the UK for a visit!

Very useful for all the "high pee" areas of the cage. It would help the main fleece last a day or two longer as well, certainly with my lot anyway. :))

Thanks for sharing the info.

Those incontenance pads do that too, I have them in high pee areas and the fleece is wonderful there. I need a few more though what with the cages being so big.

These look one step better as they are all in one.

Are they definitely waterproof? I didn't read that in the listing (but could easily have missed it)

It says innercore of waterproof material in the listings Lisa. :) It looks good!

Thanks for that Jo. I'm a bit of a skim reader and often miss things.

I like the knee pad ones as I have small corner areas in my big cage that manage on just newspaper and fleece - not ideal.

The extra large pad... what is that in Ft, as in how many Ft, I don't know how to convert, is it 5ft by 6ft or close to that. Do you think she could make one that size?

They are basically waterproof bed pads and she has sewn fleece on either side. Then she puts a label on the bottom so you know which side to put it in, so the waterproof bit is on the bottom. Wash them a few times first though like you would with new fleece before you use them.

I got a few small ones that fit in their tent, and for on top of a hidey box that they love to sit and poo on :))

It is 2ft x 2ft 4 inches. Hope that helps!

best thing to do is email and ask, and ask for a quote to show you are really interested!

I got mine made 1 metre by 1 metre square. So they tuck over the correx nicely. I left her a message to query and she was very fast making them up and dispaching them.

Just thought I'd mention though - dont forget 5ft by 6ft - this has to fit into your washing machine. If you had 2 in there you could wash them alternately?
Just a thought?

Thats what I was thinking, do you think 5ft by 6ft would fit in my washing machine?

think your washing machine might struggle! my washing machine can cope with 3 incopads which i think works out at 2ft by 6ft ish....

I've just been stuffing mine in the washing Machine :(|)
If this helps -
I get 2 big ones, so thats 2 at 3ft by 3ft and one smaller one at around 2ft by 2ft. I just put it on a quick 60 minute wash

How often do you change them before they start smelling?

Well, I do these everyday as I put them in the high toileting areas, and I like to keep them really clean as they are next to me all the time. The other areas get changed as and when needed. But I have it all different now as they have a lower level for more exercise over the winter as its too cold for them to have playtime outside. The toileting areas in my cage has changed now they now like to 'go' it the farest corner rolleyes but the puppy pads can be quickly whipped out and a fresh one in.
I find its the poos that smell more than the wee? Dont know if anyone else thinks that? And the hayboxes that they sit in to eat and toilet in too.

I only find the poops smelly if mine have cabbage or kale! your cage is huge how many piggies live in that palace?
