Food shortage!

Hi all,

I've always fed my pigs Rosewood Meadow Menu pellets (supplementing hay and veggies obviously). I chose this when I had a boy with bladder issues because its grain-free.

But I seem to be having a nightmare getting it now! I live on the Isle of Wight which doesn't help! I ordered some from VioVet a while back that haven't arrived and I found out today they are still waiting for them to come in too! And I am running seriously low!

I am considering changing their pellets now so I have 2 questions:

1 - which other grain-free brand which is readily available would you recommend (I want them all to have the very best!)?

2 - is it OK to just give them a small amount and build up to begin with? I don't have enough Rosewoods left to gradually start mixing a new food into for 12 piggies!

And its mostly timothy hay so is very good all round.
As for changing it I am not so sure, I would just slowly include with the rosewoods as you can and then perhaps start on smaller quantity's for the change to be more gradual?

We use the Selective naturals grain free but they only get a teaspoon each in the morning (compromise between the advice being a tablespoon and the vets saying none at all)

Perry and Lola really enjoy them

Excellent! Thank you guys! Apparently our local Pets at Home have 6 bags of Selective Grain Free in stock so am sending the husband out to grab some!

piggie parcels do a grainfree,soya free pellet,they are also very good.you can get these online.also haybox do pellets which are very similar to rosewood pellets grainfree.

Mine are getting Science Selective grain free nuggets which they love.
I’ve just bought some of Piggie Parcels nuggets which I have mixed in with the other pellets.
So far they are going down very well - and very fast

Like @eileen i use the Piggie Parcels pellets for my piggies. I also by all my dried forage from there too. It is a small business run by a member of the forum.

I got them some Selective Grain Free and mixed a small amount in with the remaining Rosewoods. The Rosewoods has been ignored and the Selective picked put and happily munched!
