hi guys
I had the window opened and a fly is in where the piggies are am a bit stressed I have got fly trap one the window I've set a water trap with apple cider vinegar and washing up liquid
I've even tried swatting it any tips to get rid of it am worried if it lays eggs on my piggies
Thanks

Please try not to worry. Not all flies are hazardous to piggies (only blowflies lay eggs in animal flesh).
Ensure the cage is kept clean and piggies bottoms are checked regularly particularly in summer

Thank you piggies was due clean this evening but I did it about hour ago and but unclean fleece in washing machine and cleaned that

Hi

The only flies you have to really worry about are blowflies, like blue bottles. You can find pictures of how they look in this link here. The main season is now over anyway - they hit typically in warm weather. Normal house flies are nothing to worry about.
