Fly Screen Covering Whole Cage

Does anyone else have mesh covering the entire cage? I am so fed up with flies (although there seem to be fewer this week) that I have bought this from Amazon and have just draped it over the whole cage. It isn't fixed so I am a bit worried that they may pull it through the bars and perhaps chew it? They also may feel a little more enclosed. @Mother Hubbard I found an old thread where you had said you were considering attaching fly mesh to the cages but I couldn't add a response - please could you let me know if you have done this and does it work? Thank you

I have attached a 60% shade super fine horticultural/fly net on the front of Frank's outdoor hutch and it has been wonderful.
I did it at the start of the year and also sealed all gaps with silicone sealant, around the whole cage and I have never found a single fly in his hutch and certainly no maggots like last year.
I have no faults whatsoever and Frank was a lot cooler this year too. He also had plenty of outdoor time to suck up the rays.

I ended up buying the thermal protector for the hutches which have a flyscreen attached to it, it's Velcro at all 3 sides and fits snuggly, makes a big difference.
It was the scratch & newton thermal cover and then a hutch hugger over the top.

That's all great to know, thank you. Just wish I had done it sooner, it seems so obvious now!

Mine are indoor pigs, but I use cheap net curtains because this year the flies were just everywhere, even inside!
