Hiya!

I'm thinking about getting a couple of piggies and I'm doing loads of research and fleece bedding seems like it would be a good option for me because even though I'd get a discount on bedding from work (I work in a pet shop) it'd still be more cost effective and I have the time to do daily poo sweeps etc.

My questions are where do you guys get your fleece from? I've had a look and I'm just more confused, is it microfleece I'd need or something else?

What do you put under your fleece, I'm thinking towels and then trying to find some u-haul pads, I'm not keen on newspaper because that can get smelly quick, but what would you recommend?

Is it worth paying out for cage liners or making my own or should I just lay a fleece sheet over some towels and my as yet undecided bottom layer?

If I do follow through (oo-er!) and get the piggies they will be in a C&c cage, at least 2x4 with lofts, but it's a matter of space, I'd love to go larger obviously just need to measure up the room I'd put them in!

How exciting! I have outside piggies so don't use fleece but I'm sure someone will be along very soon who does. Welcome to the forum!

I have found that the most easy to manage base layer is Puppy Pads .

Hi!

Microfleece or anti-pil fleece would be the best; you can by it by the yard online if you wish to.
There are however places that offer ready-made or made-to-order fleece cage liners.

You can find links in this guide here: All About C & C Grid Cages Around The World

Hello :). I use both regular fleece and the fleece that has the uhaul pads in it. When I use the regular fleece I put newspaper on the bottom and then some towels in the middle with the fleece on top. You can get fleece by the yards at Joann’s fleece store online. I also got my fleece with the uhaul pads on Etsy but it can be quite pricy!

I made liners with fleece zorb fleece, fleece mattress protector fleece. The zorb was more absorbent and more expensive.

I buy polar fleece on ebay and zorb I just googled and cbose a seller. Must get more as I keep buying love!y fleece fabric and not making any liners or pads!

I just switched to fleece so I’m still learning the best way of managing.

I bought mine from Pampurred Piggies online and I’m delighted with the quality

I use ziggies piggies for my liners. She’s great. And angelika fleece cages for my cosies etc.
