can anyone tell me the best flooring for my piggy cage. A the moment I have double thickness of towels with a fleece over the top but lm finding I'm changing it daily vs vet bed.
Great videos here but the second one doesn't state what the absorbent layer is. Also I have trouble with the fleece stretching.

Some people use wood stove pellets under their fleece, while others use absorbent layers such as towels or U-haul pads(not quite sure if you have those in the UK).

If you're having trouble with your fleece, there are a lot of great places that will show you how to make fleece cage liners. Different people use different things, and I just use towels, but I am thinking about changing to something different.

Good luck!

Thanks are you giving up with the towels because you find they get too wet

I might be giving up on the towels because they get pretty wet and I've heard that wood pellets have less odor, but I'm not quite sure if I'm going to switch yet. It's a work in progress.

I use a ground sheet then towels then fleece.Have litter trays that majority of pees are done in so towels only need changed twice a week.Works great for me

I'd read that because the towels can take a little while to dry they had a tendency to get a bit smellier so I chopped up a 100% cotton mattress protector. It's working out nicely, not too stinky. I think because it is a bit more airy it dries out a bit quicker. It does get wet down to the correx though, but I don't mind that, the correx gets wiped down most days. It tends to just be the one corner that gets really weed in.
