I keep my two boys in in a 2x6, I try to give them floor time once a day but they seem nervous. I put lots of hiddies around my haul and they seem to just pick one and stay under it, they wee a lot under there too and I'm conscious of them sitting in their wee for two long.

One is outgoing, doesn't overly mind being picked up and will even eat away sitting on my lap and responds well to rubs, the other is the opposite. Is it normal for them to wee this much out of their cage?

Sounds standard to be honest :)

We use a c&c run for floor time 4x5 or something like that linked with cable ties so it is like a big cage. Piggies are prey animals so like boundaries and to feel safe, if ever our pigs are out of the cage to free range around the floor they hate it and will stand by the cage and climb up to try and get back in.... We have two piggies similar Widget is very tame where as Chickpea is very mistrustful of us still - going to be a long time taming her I think...

Yes, expect wee, especially if nervous too.

The wee itself doesn't bother me, I have them on tiles for floor time so cleaning is a non issue. I just didn't want them to be sitting in it for too long.

Yea they really are two opposites, one runs to me every time I enter the sittingroom while the other hangs back, its as if he wants to join in but just can't!haaha

Oh well, in time hopefully.

My 3 year old boars have never enjoyed floor time if given the whole room and will spend the whole time in a hidey. I have a 5 x 2 c&c pen which I leave open at one end and they will happily explore the room and go in and out as they please. They seem to need the bars for courage!
What about putting a puppy pad or a piece of fleece under the hidey to soak up the wee.
