Agnes and Margaret get a lot of floor time which is amazing for them yet the clean up after the two monsters is hard work.

They get full run of my livingroom which has carpet. They are little poop machines and I'm sure they will be peeing too but ive not noticed it.

I hoover every day but the carpet is starting to smell a little, i can mask the smell but i want to clean the carpet without having a buy a big carpet cleaner.

Is there anything piggy friendly that i can buy to help clean up after them? Mags loves to chew the carpet so i dont want to make her unwell if she eats something she shouldn't.

I feel your pain! I built a small cage area for floor time, and my three youngsters do all their wees in there, and I put out pads or towels in the areas they poop the most. The rest I just sweep up. My bigger three are not so predictable where they wee, so I tend to set up the run for them, which has a waterproof lining. Still a lot of work. I think once the smell is in the carpet, only washing will get rid of it, so maybe hire a rug doctor then try one of those suggestions, and hope for the best. Good luck!

I'd cover my carpet with something. I am using large incontinence pads, covered with fleece blankets, as it's easier to shake off any hay or poo. I imagine puppy pads could also work.

I use a pen, inside that is a layer of puppy pads then a fleece blanket on top.. change it every 2 weeks but poo pick each time they have been out..

I lay down fleece bedding, fleece blankets, and puppy pads beneath the blankets for floor time. They don't have floor time directly on the carpet.

Clean up is a snap, because I can just shake the blankets onto one, and then dump the contents into our waste basket.
