Floor Cover In Run

hi all
I have received our run today. We will use it indoors until it gets warmer. I'm just not sure what to put at the bottom... Fleece and newspaper underneath? A towel..? What do you use to protect floors and carpets?

Once outside I'm considering to put them on our (concrete) terrace first before the grass in the garden is dry enough...
What do you recommend as its floor cover outside?

I use puppy pads covered in a layer of fleece for indoor floor time. I get my puppy pads from B&M.

I use one of these plastic-backed fleece picnic mats which gets washed regularly. the pigs prefer it to the kitchen floor with nothing on it....

Nice to see it doubles up as a pen for small people also! I use a towel with a fleece blanket over the top, seems to work well mostly.

I brought a s large fabric paint protector sheet thing from b and q folded a few times them topped with fleece awesome run !
