Having spent the weekend in Reading we all (me, dad, kids, mice lol) stopped at Winchester services and !! Fleeeeeeece. Two fleece throws for a fiver :(|) I haven't checked the measurements yet but they are people throws so should be fair sized.

I got dark turquoise and light turquoise in a bundle, I might keep them back for the boy rats when they come but every time my parents visit they'll be under instruction to stop there and look lol

The other place that's good for cheap fleeces is Asda - I used to get the Smartprice ones when I used fleece.

I get most of my fleece now at material shops. They often sell remnants of really good fleece for the same as the thinner fleece throws.

We're a bit short of good material shops around here. Alot of them are upmarket now with posh curtains and duvet sets :( I tried the fabric shop by my parents but they're choice of one kind of fleece was so expensive I almost fainted. Bit out of my league that. I'll ferret round to make sure I haven't missed any tucked away, but Fareham is a no and my area is a no..maybe closer to Southampton might have one.

Its a shame because back int he day you had loads of them selling cloth off the roll by the yard...adding up by writing on the front of the paper bag. I miss those shops, more friendly atmosphere and you could by literally anything.

Anyway...ASDA..didn't think of that, we don't have an ASDA near us but we do have a Tesco that might do some. Will have to see.

Yes, my fabric shop is like that! (the off the roll kind :) ) I love it and will make sure to go more often to support them so that they can stay in business. Oh bother... more fleece... :))

Yeah its shame, breaks my heart sometimes that I don't have one near me...they'd make so much money out of me lol

Primark have lovely ones for very little money with lovely patterns on them!
(I find patterened fleece makes it harder to spot the dirt as it builds up :P)

B&M tores have a nice fleece in...just off to get some, think they were £2.99 each.

fleece

Amen to Primark, just got four patterned fleeces for £1 each - Bargain. Or you could go a bit more upmarket and get the £2.50 ones - You cant go wrong.
Anyway, switched to fleece tonight, my boys are popcorning happily away.
Hope it lives up to my expectations, it looks so much cosier.:))
