I have used paper bedding for many years now but recently I have noticed my pigs chewing it which they didn't do before. If I change to fleece will they chew that too?

Very unlikely! fleece is pretty indestructible. Try adding a toilet roll with some hay inside and see if they eat that instead. paper bedding is fine, perhaps they just need a few more things for enrichments. card boxes cut with two doors are great fun for them

My Chez occasionally bites at his fleece but never gets any, as I don't see him chewing after.

We use fleece but my piggies prefer sniffing it then chewing it.
I would highly recommend using fleece bedding instead. It has been the best guinea pig involved choice we have made. It has made a huge improvement on our guinea pigs life.

Agreed! Ours started popcorning with excitement when we changed from newspaper to fleeces. I wish we had done so earlier.

When I switched to fleece my boys were practically rolling round on it like puppies. On the odd occasion when I get a bit fed up with the extra laundry (one boy is a swampy pants so lots of pee pads changed daily) I think about how much more effort, mess and expense disposable bedding was.
The outlay can be quite expensive but you soon recoup the cost. Lots of cute designs too!
