I'm wanting to make the change to fleece but struggling to find fleece that's suitable at the size I need (UK). Would any of these be okay do you think - (1), (2), and (3)? I have a 28" by 70" C&C with 6" sides.

I was thinking of clipping the fleece to the correx and lining the base with washable incontinence pads as I think my girls will be burrowers. Would clipping up the sides make it more difficult to sweep inside? Should I sew the washable pads to the fleece or leave as is?

The fleece looks good. My girls are also burrowers, so I cut the fleece a little and clip it to the sides, with a waterproof mattress protector underneath.

I do find it a little hard sweeping it but it’s not that difficult.

Someone suggested sticking Velcro to the base then you can also see it onto the fleece and do it that way. I’ll probably eventually do that as I’d find it easier using liners rather than fleece.

And yes you could sew the waterproof to the fleece. I’m going to do that with theirs.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll go for the duck egg blue to match my walls then.

The velcro sounds like a good idea to keep it in place but I'd worry that it would collect lint in the wash and not stick after a while. I was thinking about using a couple of wooden dowels on top of the fleece tucked in the long edges of the cage. Should be able to pick them up cheap from the builders' merchants and replace if they get chewed. I get the feeling they'd just pull them out though 😕. I think the other option would be to cut an extra sheet of correx to fit the bottom and wrap the layers around it. I worry that with that method or liners the pee would seep down the corners though.
