I am switching to fleece tomorrow. Will a fleece blanket work and wick the same as the fleece material?

Yeah, most of my fleece bedding are actually fleece blankets so they'll be fine.

Fleece blanket is fine, just make sure you put something absorbent underneath it (news papers, puppy pads, a towel, etc).

Fleece Blankets should work fine, although you may want to place something underneath to absorb their urine and such. Towels would work well underneath, as well as Puppy Pads.

If its folded more than once will it still work and can fleece be cut without it messing up the blanket?

Yes you can cut fleece and it doesnt fray. I use fleece zorb fleece all sewn in a sandwhich and fleece cotton mattress protector fleece. Both work very well.

Some people use fleece over an absorbent layer like puppy pads or towels. I like sewn liners cos they are easier to put in place.

My guinea pigs have cat litter trays with hemp bedding and loads of hay where they do most of their wees.
