will a few layers of fleece or if I fold it stop the wee from going through to the absorbant layer? , will it smell awful? because I know wood shavings are bad for the piggies ,I am running out of ideas, pls help x

Hello, welocme to the forum.

We use towels then fleece on top.

Only wash your fleece with powder not softener this will increase its wicking power

I made a few liners with fleece zorb fleece (1 cos zorb is pricy)
fleece cotton mattress protector fleece
Fleece washable incontinence pad fleece, rather bulky

All work just fine. I put two layers of mattress protector in the middle cos it is so thin.

Most of the wee goes in theirnhay trays (pound land cat litter trays with hemp bedding and loads of hay).

I love fleece bedding. Such cute colours and patterns.

Hi, what is 'zorb' please? Which of the middle layers you've tried is the most absorbent? My four girls seem to wee a lot. Thanks

Zorb is a kind of absorbent fabric. Pricy but nice and light and soakes up wee well. It is the most absorbwnt I reakon.

Having hay trays with hemp bedding hay seems a good way to lessen wee in thw fleece areas as does having extra mats (mini liners) in their beds or in the case of my 3 under their beds. I change the mats every few days and shake out the poos every day.
