I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm swapping my pig's substrate from shavings to fleece. I was wondering wear to get some fleece from as he doesn't have a C&C cage and every website only do C&C cage fleeces.

Do you want pre-made liners or just basic fleece? I get my fleece from asda, tesco and the range :) Most online cage liner makers will make a liner to fit your required measurements if you email them.

Fleece blankets from places like B&M, Tiger, etc are good.
Anything with no pile (i.e. not too fluffy), is good.
You will need a layer of fleece on top (your blanket) and then an absorbent layer underneath. This can be something like old bath towels.
Everything needs to be washed a couple of times with no fabric conditioner, so when the piggies wee on it, the wee soaks straight through the fleece (the fleece wicks away the wetness) and into the absorbent layer below.
I made my own liners using a You Tube video and it was pretty easy.

Lots of members use fleece, so I am sure if you have any questions you will get lots of great advice.

This was really helpful, I'll go have a look in my local Asda at the weekend and maybe hobbycraft too. Thanks for your help!

I make my own from cheap fleeces doubled over and with puppy pads (cut to size) underneath. Fleece is a godsend and the piggies love it.

I got custom liners for my boys cage from ziggies piggies.Really good quality and fantastic customer service.Reasonably priced too.

B&M do two polar fleeces for £3.99 which is really good value, generally just buying a 100% polyester fleece, washing it a few times to wick it should be fine. Using newspaper as an absorbent layer under the fleece will work fine for now but they will need to be changed as frequently as every two days. You can though buy a waterproof mattress protecter, B&M do a towelling waterproof one for £10 I think, laying this down on your cage with fleece over the top would work however you could sew the fabrics together or use hemming web to iron the fabrics together. This way you should have a good waterproof cage liner, they really aren't all too difficult to make :)
