my piggies are due to come in next week and I plan on putting them back on fleece liners. Although I'm curious about the blanket fleeces... Do they work the same as liners or do they need something extra underneath?

I plan on putting puppy pads and newspaper underneath the liners like I did while in the shed ... I've looked for the big fleece blankets in Home Bargains and Pound Stretcher but no luck.

You do not need to put anything underneath fleece liners, as they have an absorbent inner core. They are made of two fleece layers with the absorbent layer in between. When they get wet or dirty, just turn them over.
Fleece blankets are just one layer with nothing absorbent attached,so something must be put underneath.

I always put towels and then puppy pads under my liners (which were from CandE cosies and have zorb Middle layer). If I didnt, I'd just have to do an even more thorough clean of the correx I suppose - not that that would be hard as I already wipe it down each time with an anti fungal and anti viral spray.

I have newspaper under the fleece liners in the Trixie huts, but this more for warmth than to protect the wood. The paper and the liners are changed every month, and the huts are cleaned with a hutch-cleaning spray or with my steam cleaner. I have never found that wee has gone right through the liner, and so the paper is always dry. I have a thread (under Bedding I think, or Housing & Enrichment ) about Zorb fabric. I have not found it very absorbent. My liners are from ZiggysPiggies. She uses towelling inside her liners.
