Fleece - So Far So Good

i started using fleece for the piggies 2 weeks ago, prior to that I used care fresh ( lovely but expensive ).. So far so good, one set has been washed and they had a brush with a stiff bristled brush before going in the washing machine. Came out with maybe a few stubborn strands on them.. I poo pick every morning & night ( maybe in between if I am bored ) and have not noticed any wee smells.. They have a tray for hay & I think they do most of their wee's in there as the fleece never really feels damp apart from one other spot..
My next change is to try cat litter, paper based, in the hay tray as currently use newspaper and care fresh ..
 
Glad you're liking it. Since changing over to fleece I love it too. Can't imagine going back now.

I think I'm going to try the paper based cat litter too. I currently use newspaper and shavings and it can get a bit stinky.
 
Fleece is great! It's lovely seeing pigs all sprawled out on it.:D Glad you like it, bet your guineas do to.
 
I'm glad you are getting on with it :) It takes some getting used to, but once you do it's fab!
 
Glad you like your fleece, I love using Vet Bed and Spikes skin is much better now he's not on shavings (was very dry and flaky).
 
Glad it's working out for you. I use Aubiose in the litter trays in our fleece set up. I don't put anything under it (it's obviously in a litter tray). It seems to lock smells away just fine. I change it entirely every time I change the fleece.

I do have the Aubiose because we use that in some of our other piggies cages/hutches though - you might not want to store a 20kg bag if you are just using it for litter trays!

Yeah,..I think a 20kg bag would be too hard to store lol.. My utility has been taken over already and it will just be for the litter tray... X
