fleece question

ok so i bought the girls some fleeces for their cage. My question is to wash or not to wash before i put it in the cage?. X

In my experience it doesn't really matter but some people say that washing before use increases absorbency.

You should wash it 2 or 3 times before. Without softener. Fleece has a barrier what stops it wicking urine through wash it to break it down softener forms a barrier on it
