I've ordered some fleece and other material, does fleece ravel and fray if the edges are not hemmed? I'm not much of a seamstress, if hems are required I'll have to hire it done.

It's a good idea to cut it bigger than you need as it does shrink a bit after constant washing. (maybe that's because mine is cheap stuff!)

and because I have a fussy pig who only wants the finest cotton towel touching his bottom, not man made fibres! I've started wrapping the towel in it completely rather than just putting a piece on top to stop him pulling off!

think my ben likes the cotton on his bottom he has destroyed home last nite & this morning & just sleeping on the towel looks like i'm to get some cotten fannels for his home see if that sorts it :)p

I have some of that iron on fabric fuser, has anyone ever used that to fuse fleece and the underneath absorbent layer?

I'm thinking maybe the fuser would form a barrier and block the wicking? Try it on a smaller piece before you do the full thing!

I'm thinking about buying zorb too... It seems very good!

That's a good idea. We use flannels as piggy size towels after they've had a bath.

There's a list on the webpage, but they say they will e-mail international customers with a quote when they've weighed the order. Also, orders from the US will often get a customs fee... I'm thiking postage and customs will be almost as much as the zorb itself, but I think I'll still order. Compared to buying bedding it still works out cheaper pretty soon, and people say it really absobs smells. I like the idea of that...

Make sure that you prewash the fleece a couple of times and never use softener - otherwise your piggies will sit in their own wee.

You might also think about getting hold of an old duvet cover to wash your fleece in in order to avoid messes in the filter.
