Fleece question! Opinions...

I was just to curious as to how often you guys throw away fleece/buy new fleece?

I usually buy new fleece every 4 months and I wash it weekly with detergent/soap and etc which makes it last so long.
My boys have the same fleece until new is bought...I don't change fleeces weekly or anything lol.

I had two sets of fleece when I used it but I had the same fleece for a number of years - it washes well and mine never got nibbled. I’m not sure why it would need replacing every 4 months.

It just eventually gets really stinky. Mine never really nibbled either.

Hmm. I used to put a generous amount of white vinegar in the washing machine - both in the actual drum and in the fabric conditioner drawer as well as normal detergent. I also dried it outside when possible. Mine always smelt fresh after this process. And I had 6 piggies living together at one point. I did have extra fleece where they slept and had a garden tidy tray for their hay with paper litter in too though.
