Whenever I buy my fleece I usually watch for sales at walmart. They usually will sell fleece throws for $5-10 and it fits my x-pen and cage perfectly. However, this one plaid fleece that I bought will not wick at all. It is made from the same material as all my other fleeces and it just wont work. I have washed it with detergent without fabric conditioner, washed it with vinegar and tried tumble and air drying but it wont seem to work. Has anyone had problems like this and solved it? it has literally been through the wash at least 15 times to no avail. Its not like I'm throwing money away if it doesn't work because it was on sale and I can use it to make something else for the piggies but I am just wondering what to do...thanks

Some fleeces just don't seem to work. We have British members who have made similar experiences with some very cheap fleeces. :(

I prefer to buy polar or micro fleece for that reason. You can always use it for a cover or to make a tent top or sneaking underneath play fleece etc. with!

thanks for the info...i think i am going to cut it into strips and tie it onto a grid to make a fleece forest
