Fleece for main area and upper loft and disposable for the kitchen area. I have two drip pads under the bottles and that is working out really well as they tend to poo there so even easier to clean up kitchen area than before!
I find fleece the coziest for Guinea Pigs and also the most cost effective when you have large cages which require full bags of bedding each time. I also like not having to dispose of all that bedding every week! Fleece is definitely more work but I would never change back especially as I have noticed how much more my piggies lounge around on their soft cuddle cups compared to when they were on back2nature.
I use both, fleece for the most areas and bedding in their bathroom, which are the hay trays. Hay trays get most soiled so I clean them out frequently to avoid odor, mine are indoor piggies.
I mainly use litter, but I will put a duvet cover spread out on the floor (with the buttons out the cage to prevent any accidents) since my cage is a small cage with a run attached
We have 3 rooms in our L-shaped big piggy cage, the 2 end bits have fleece and the corner bit where I put down lots of floor hay has kaytee paper bedding over newspaper because its always covered in hay and I cant get to poop scoop that bit without climbing in the cage
