Hi guys! Currently, I put bedding in the cage but I'm thinking about switching to fleece. I'm not really sure what I want to do, maybe I could switch around. But, before I do that, could you guys help me out by posting pros and cons about fleece and bedding? That would be helpful to me because it will help me decide, I've got some in mind but you guys might think of something that I haven't thought about yet. Thanks!

I love the Guinea Pig Market! We spend a lot of time with the cages and moved some time ago to fleece. I have to say the minute we got them into this cage with fleece instead of the bedding, the were honestly popcorning all over the place. My daughter has a cage upstairs we just finished that is almost identical to this one for the boys but with different patterns. We do still keep kitchen areas with some bedding and the other areas just the hay.

They are a LOT more work! Or maybe we are just pretty particular but I have a small vacuum hook up that is used daily to remove feces. You can choose to have dog pads, double fleece pads under the fleece to absorb. I bought clearance fleece blankets in a large bulk (about 24) at around $2.50 and change them around every 5 or 6 days. Some I cut up into 4 to use on the top. They are on the top level a lot so I do keep a dog pad a day under and change the fleece every day or every other day.

There is another forum linked with The Guinea Pig Market at GuineaPigCages.com. They also have a lot of ideas and info about using fleece and cavy cages.
