Hello, I sewed some fleece liners a couple of weeks ago using Blizzard fleece from Joann's, and U-haul blankets. We have been using 7th generation fragrance-free and dye-free soap and it has not started to adsorbe. We have washed them at least a dozen times, and I'm not sure what the problem is. We have used both hot and cold water, hoping that the hot would break the coating down -- but that just ended up shrinking them! Haha, I would love to have some advice on what to do about these. Thank you.

Sorry, I don’t know what blizzard fleece is. But I know from my own experience that not all fleece will wick. If it isn’t wicking after so many washes I would doubt that it will wick. Can I just check that you aren’t using a 2in 1 washing powder with fabric softener in, as the fabric softener will stop wicking.

It may be the type of fleece that doesn’t wick. I unfortunately bought one of them. Washed many times but it just wouldn’t work.

Try washing again and see.

Try washing them a few times between 30 - 40C with just distilled white vinegar. No soap. The vinegar should get rid of anything that may be preventing your fleeces from wicking. If that still doesn't work I'm afraid you may have fleece that just doesn't wick. I'm not sure where you're based but I buy anti-pil fleece online: https://www.tissufabrics.co.uk/fleece/polar-fleece-anti-pill.html

Thank you for all your help! I will try to wash them again with just vinegar and see how it goes! We have been testing it with water, however, I recently read on this website that urine may react differently to it. We shall see once they come home! Thank you again.
