Junior Guinea Pig
I cleaned my boys out yesterday and decided to try fleece for the first time. I washed and dried them several times beforehand (without conditioner) and double layered the fleece on top of newspaper. This morning the fleeces were bone dry, but tonight they're really damp. The hutches are outside so I assume that the damp weather has made the fleeces damp throughout the day. The boys seem absolutely fine, but I don't want to keep them on damp bedding so will need to revert to woodshavings at least in the short term.
I was wondering if any other forum users use fleeces in outdoor hutches and if it works for you?
I really want to switch to fleece for a number of reasons, but didn't want to be having to change them every day. They've had fleece blankets wrapped round their beds in the recent cold weather, and this has worked really well.
