Fleece Lining In Out Door Hutches

Hi
I currently use newspaper lined with dust free shavings and hay.
I'm fed up of people bringing in sawdust to the house from outside. (Hubby mainly)
It's just you open cage if falls our. You pick them up , it's on their paws, and they kick it out.
Thinking about puppy pads and fleece on top but wondered if this would work and how open it would need changing?

I was about to ask the same question. I also wondered for those using fleece do they have to cut their piggies nails more?
