So daft question, but I must be thick here!

The absorbing bit of the liner is referred to a mattress protector. So, do you buy a single protector and cut it up? Or is this something you can buy as a large bit of fabric?

You’re not thick!
I think people buy the mattress protectors and then cut them down to the size they need to sew between fleece.

Ah ok. I’ve been reading loads and it hasn’t been clear on any of the guides.
Looks like I have a new project! As if I don’t set myself enough projects!

Currently, I’ve just fully insulated the boarding house/shed, striping down the hutches for repainting, already put new liner in.

Now I want to make correct size fleece liners for the hutches and cages for the Xmas boarders. It’s been a crazy busy year and want some indoor projects instead.
