Sorry posting a lot today
At the minute my boys are fine as all 5 are still young/small, but obviously they grow.
So I'm wanting to build them a bigger cage soon or even extend the sows cage (170x122cm) and then split it into 2 but the fleece is driving me crazy, it takes me sooo long to make each liner as I see by hand (I have a sewing machine but I can't get the hang of it and it keeps getting stuck after a few stitches)

Can you buy made to measure cage liners? If so where from? Are they expensive? As want 2 lots for each cage.

Also wanting to make/buy something for the hay to try and prevent so much getting stuck to the fleece and clogging up my machine

I've heard some people use puppy pads in their cages, why? And do you just put a fleece blanket over the top and not bother with using a mattress topper inside?

You can buy made to measure liners will dig out some links later when home. Also I expect you'll get lots of replies over forthcoming days, it may be a little slow today as Christmas etc,,, so keep checking back!

I got mine from Ziggies Piggies and they are fab. I don't use anything under them. Their cage is 5x2 so I got two liners that are 2x3 instead of a massive liner to wash. While I don't have a spare set, it's simple enough to keep the girls occupied while they get washed/dried.

The girls cage is 170cm X 122cm and I've not been able to find fleece big enough to make one big one, I made 2 in two halves but where they join in the middle my sows are burrowing under

I got mine made from ziggies piggies and I can honestly say they are fabulous I got 2 for £30 to go with rubbles new 100cm heritage rabbit cage he hasn't complained happy piggy = happy mummy

We have ready made cage liners from Hammocky Hammocks for our C and C cage and they are lovely.

I agree with the idea of using 2 smaller cage liners rather than 1 big one . When I spot clean - I allow my guineas to go to one section of the hutch while I take one cage liner out and shake the debris off . They then move to the clean section while I shake off the other fleece . I do this on the evenings when I don't have time to give them floor time . I refer to this as " room service " .:))
